This small cone vase has been hand built from clay found in the fields around my pottery workshop. I have left a few of the smaller gritty stones in and these have come through the glaze to give the lovely brown detail.

My work is about texture and I love to leave an area of the piece unglazed so you can feel the texture of the clay. These little vases are a really useful size - I made the first one because sometimes you just want to pick a few flowers from the garden and only need a small vase.
